So i plan on flushing my coolant from the radiator this weekend. and i came up with the idea of flushing my engine block to get rid of potential rust deposits that i might have. would y'all recommend flushing the engine block?

Yes definitly but do both sides, that mean's pulling the block drain plug on the driver's side and the knock sensor on the passenger side since it's screwed in to the water drain from the factory.

that's the best way, then flush with a water hose, or you can get some by spraying down into the upper hose without a t-stat, so basically right into the intake and it'll flush out thru the lower hose.

Why dont you buy that handy easy to use prestone flush kit that flushes the heater core too then you fill with water and heat to temp until the water rinses clean? Seems much easier and just as effective.

freeze plugs is an awesome way. big holes, like 2 on each side and then 2 in front, some in back.

be careful tho I've seen the drain plugs break, and some just clogged up behind them with crap.

i heard that chemical coolant flush have heavy duty cleaners that are bad on gaskets and the rad so in a way i would like to stay away from it. i am also sure that there are many people that have had good results with it

I never said to use chemicals, I said to buy the little kit which has a fitting you splice in the heater hose line then hook a hose up to it to flush the whole system and fill with water and then keep draining until it is all clean.

hhhmmm never seen this kit. I've tried the rad. flush jugs of crap and not much luck. That kit sounds interesting.
