I have a 1997 ECSB 4wd Z71. I read somewhere that Z71 trucks came equipped with 265/75/16 tires. Is this true? My door sticker is long gone but the RPO codes show mine came with LT245/75/16 tires. RPO codes also show it is a Z71.

245s are the factory size tire for 4x4s, and the 265s are optional. my Z had 245s from the factory but my parents OBS tahoe had 265s factory and isn't a Z71

Exactly this. The 265s were optional, mine came with the 265/75/16s as an option

I can even show a picture of the options sheet with it on

OK I wasn't sure if they were supposed to come standard with 265s or not. When I got the truck it had 265s on it and they were junk. I took the wheels off my 2000 that was rotted out and put then on the 97 since the tires were nearly new. Those tires are LT245/75/16. Like I said before the RPO codes say it came with 245s.

Thanks for all the replies!
