Hey yall got another Q for you. I bought my truck on Saturday and the guy had both driveshafts in the bed of the truck since there was no tranny in it and he never got around to it. My question is, is there a good way to clean that up? I cant imagine all that rust could be good. I cant even run my fingernail across any of it. If I'd be better off getting a new one any suggestions on where I could get one? I tried googling the number on it but I couldn't find it. Same thing with the front shaft too. Any good way to clean all that up? Thank you all.

Oops almost forgot to ask about the spot where it looks like someone patched the driveshaft. I just wanted to know if that was normal.
Sorry for all the questions!

What he said. But honestly the inside where the splines are, that could also be rusted and most likely won't slide over the shaft
