OK, I am ready to order my rims and tires, but before I dump $$$$ into them, I just want to double check. I have a 1999 2wd 2dr Tahoe that now has 2" drop shackles in the rear. I plan to do 2" drop springs and 2" drop Hangers at a later date. Maybe even up to 6 months from now because I want to rebuild the front end at the same time. What I have come up with is a Torque Thrust style wheel in 18x8 front and 18x9 rear, both with 0 offset. Tire sizes will be 235/60/18 front and 255/55/18 rear.
1) Does this sound like a good set up for a DD?
2) How well will it fill the wheel wells now and after a later 2" drop?

Thanks for that info. I think my tire size is right, but still have not found any info as to offset for a Tahoe.
With a 2/4 drop, I do not think a offset for a "TUCK" would mater, but still something I would want to have if I plan to drop more.
I see the table on the sticky, but do the 2wd Tahoe have the same rear axle width as a 2wd Pickup of the same year?

Ill have to measure my wheels offset.

I have some serious doubts about being able to run those zero offset wheels on a dropped truck. With a moderate drop you can get away with it if you run very short tires. Choose any reasonable tire size and you're going to get into trouble. Drop farther and you'll be into fender-destroying territory.

My next problem is to decide on AR Torque Thrust II or The Boss 338's.

Well, I was really hoping it would, but I do like to plan for the future as well.
So , going by the sticky chart, I need an ET of 6 on the front and ET of 12 for the rear.

If you go with the Boss 338, they offer the 18x8 with 4.5" bs, 18x9.5 with 5" bs. I don't think either one is suitable for a dropped truck.

With the Torq-Thrust II series you have a lot more options in 18's; an 18x8 with 5.25" bs would be no issue with all the drop in the world if it's a true 8" wide, if it's actually 8.5" wide then the 5.5" would be better but 5.25" will still work. Then your 18x9.5 out back with 5.75" should be good, or maybe the 6.00".
