Will this tranny work?

I don't know if the AWD 4L60E uses the same parts as the 4wd but I'm sure it can be made to work. The Astro would have been a 4.3 V6, AWD and I believe it had 3.42 gears. I don't think the transfer case adapter will work so even if the transmission does you will need to swap your adapter. The Astro did not use the NP241. I think it used a Borg Warner of some kinds.

Like he said, swap the adapter and it will be fine. The converter stalls will be different, that will probably have a 2075 stall. If at all possible I would use your converter.

Yea I think you need to pull your torque converter out and use it in that trany and undo the tail housing so it will mount to your t-case. Because I know a 2wd trany and a 4wd trany is the tail part I think. Atleast that's what a friend told me
