Will engines interchange?

I have a 1988 c1500 with a 5.7 that needs an engine. Will a 5.7 from a 1992 caprice be a direct swap with no modifications? Also need to know if the transmissions will swap out. Both are 700r4's. Thanks

Oh yea, My truck is a tbi and the caprice is fuel injected.

The motors are the same physically , But you will need to change the intake and distributor. Plus all the drive accessories.
