Will a 96 4wd 4L60 fit a 96 2wd?

The transmission is out in my 96 c1500 and a local guy on craigslist has a good deal on a supposedly rebuilt trans out of his 96 k1500.

Can I do it?

I just kinda needed to know quick.

Not without pretty much total disassembly to change the output shaft to a 2WD piece, and of course swap out the tailshaft housing as well.
