Whine

axle seals seemed fine but this is what I found. While taking off the gasket, it looked like it had failed in a few places, wet behind the paper when I scraped it off. The pumpkin was clean so my theory is that it had been leaking but became plugged with dirt enough to keep it from seeping. The previous owner must have cleaned it up before selling it. He said it hasn't been doing that for long and looking at the gears they were in very good shape. The bearings however looked good but there is still some noise, I think they got toasted. There is no play though, so maybe, just maybe, it's something unrelated that's causing the whining, maybe the rear brakes are dragging or something.
