What is this vacuum line?

There was a vacuum line that was Teed in to the line to the break booster that ran down by the transfer case/back of the trans. Anyone got an idea of what this could have been for? Its obviously not stock it was kinda hacked in there.

Vacuum modulator valve?

Was there any length of hard line involved?

No just an clear soft line looks like I had son sort of wire reinforcement in it
