I'm in the market to get me a ccsbc 2500 in a month or so but torn by going with a Diesel or gas.

I will be hauling like a 30ft camper and a 24 ft car trailer some. What is your thoughts on this?
I work construction and travel a lot. So good fuel mileage is a plus.
Plus would you go auto or std trans?

I dont think 88-98 trucks are the right ones to go for towing a 30ft camper and expecting descent gas mileage on top of that.

Go get a Duramax with the allison transmission.

If you want diesel in an OBS buy a Ford... How often do you tow? Monthly? Buy a gas truck... If you're hooking up to a trailer more than once a week then Duramax or Ford with a 7.3
