sure, an old 10 bolt, the newer 30 spline ones are just as tough as a old 12.

the last two 12 bolts ive had ended up sheaing the spot welds and throwing my pinion up to the bed, 12 bolts are literally no stronger and no better than a 10 bolt.

want a strong rear go with a 14 bolt d60 or d70, if you want a strong uncommon one find yourself an eaton ho72 with 5.32 or 4.57s stock
