Used manual transmission

I am meeting a guy about 5 speed manual transmission. The donor truck is a 2wheel drive c3500. Are these goog transmissions, what am I looking for? I am converting my truck from auto to msnualn

What year is your truck, and what year is the donor c3500? I'm not 100% sure if they made 2wd NV4500s, but i'm guessing that is the tranny that's in there.
they are good transmissions, however like anything - especially in a bigger truck, it coulda taken a beating. I'd have it checked out by a tranny shop.

Yeah give some specs on your truck though. If your truck is a 4WD and 2WD trans will not work unless you plan on getting a divorced transfer case.
