So i got my 97 silverado 5.0 1500 running on this 96 silverado 5.7 1500 engine harness. But the transmission wont shift out of park when its running. i dont have 1st, 4th or torque lockup.
And i have to maualy alternate between 2nd and 3rd because it wont upshift or downshift on its own. Anybody know why?

I feel like something is backwards because it started and shifted out of park just fine before i reconnected the transmission position signal wire behind the glove box. Just not sure what it could be

It would be better to continue posting on whatever thread you started about your truck before. Not many people will have any idea what you're updating.
