So my 99 GMC C1500 turns left and then little right and then goes straight when I hit the brakes with some force, if I ease the brakes everything is normal. Rotors and bearings are little over a year old and everything else is factory with 293,000 on it (minus pads of course). The best question here is where in the heck do I start looking???

Try adjusting the rears. I know that with my trucks if the rears are outa whack, the braking gets funky. And the adjuster teeth are a bit to big for the auto adjusters to work properly. The linings have to wear a bit beyond where they work right for the adjusters to ratchet up.

Start with easy stuff: make sure callers aren't siezed and check caliper slider bolts for freedom of movement. Check pads for excessive wear....
