Following up on this issue for anyone chasing the same problem.

Installed the new dizzy, running fine so far. Old gear was so worn half the teeth were razor sharp.

Im having this same problem. Bought the same dizzy . Its installed runs like a champ at idle anything between idle and wot it stumbels. Like an air bubble in the fuel line. Ive change olug wires dizzy cap rotor air filter and fuel pump. Only thing I havent done is plugs. But keep getting the p1345 code.

I erased it from advance auto parts to see if itll come back. Went and reset the dizzy to make sure it didnt move went back and scanned again. P1345 confirmed this time. No check engine light but that code is there.

Seems like that's the only thing ignition wise you havent touched. I don't think a coil would do that but who knows.

After installing all new ignition and still having the surge problem. Cylinder 7 and 8 spark plugs (remind you I replacedbwith cheap bosch) were already black and fouled out. Took all of them back and replaced with ac delco plats at .45 runs 10 times better. Also was told my old distributors gears were completely torn up. Said to cause all of this issue.
