tried my had at shortening my driveshaft

i build a few of them for my trucks, i use a chop saw to grind through the welds far enough to remove the end,the vise on the chop saw i leave smaller than the tube so i can spin it on top of the vise but yet it will keep it from kicking out, then i cut the tube down(or replace tube to lengthen) and then weld the end back on square and in phase
