Transmission/ Transfer-Driveshaft help?

ok, i just got done putting a transmission in my brothers 96 ext cab z71 and the driveshaft wont go all the way in.. itll go in about an inch and stop. the yoke is the same part number that on my own truck so its the right yoke..

theres a notch in side the yoke where the splines are, so is there a key way for it to go in only one way? any help would be good thanks!

i got it done man thanks! it is keyed i guess cus it would only go in one way... it just need a litte help with the hammer lol
