Okay, I checked my RPO code K2500 "Spring front, heavy duty" = RPO: F60. My truck has a rated GVW 8600 RPO code. If I were looking for boneyards t-bars I'd get them from a F60 RPO vehicle.

15528959-LH (code GH) (Max torque 7161)
15528960-RH (code GH) (Max torque 7161)

My K1500 came equipped with GH torsion bars from factory, and I think it could be a tad stiffer yet, although I don't have heavy tires on wide offset wheels or a plow, or even a diesel. What might be stiff for one person, may be weaksauce for another... tastes vary. :)

Unless you check the codes, you don't know what you have in the truck.

The stiffest bars would be XG, GM does not make any stiffer.

Many still have stickers directly on the t-bar. It should also be on the RPO sticker, the t-bar codes are the last two digits of the RPO code. My code is YGK... Im assuming t-bar codes start with "Y"

There is something about swapping torsion bars that bothers me. If your truck has a specific symptom like sitting too low, how do you know if the original equipment was not damaged/ overloaded? Maybe replacing them with the exact same rated t-bars would fix the problem. I can see if your truck had a plow kit installed. The kit weight should be added to the GVW to determine the proper t-bar. If designing any spring dependant system you have to consider the application. For example:
Imagine if a garage door was hard to lift, you dont go buy the biggest springs you can find... you have to weigh the door (un-sprung) then purchase springs for that weight range.
Okay now that I said all that, if you are trying to make the ride stiff wouldn't it take thicker t-bar or bar of a slightly different metal composition for the correct vehicle weight?
