I have been studying the subject of lowering a truck for some time now and have put together a list of components that I think will work but I would like yalls thoughts and opinions on this.

The truck in question is a 1997 1 ton dually 2WD with a 5.7.

Here is the kit I am looking at. http://www.belltech.com/products/belltech/complete-lowering-kits/lowering-kits-15467.html
Plus these other parts. http://www.belltech.com/products/be...omponents/c-sections/c-section-kit-12925.html
And also this although it will come at a later time. http://www.belltech.com/products/be...omponents/airjack-kits/airjack-kit-12854.html

Other plans are larger 17" wheels. These are the ones I am looking at. http://www.southwestwheel.com/store/p-4396-0589-8698-1.aspx
Along with these for the inner duals http://www.southwestwheel.com/store/p-4627-x41784.aspx
To match the factory size I would need 245/70-17 tires which are the same diameter as the factory 245/75-16 tires it has now. But with the 3/4 lower I may need to go down a size or two with tires, not sure yet.

So what do yall think? Will it work with the truck in question and still be able to tow and haul like a 1 ton? I am kinda worried about a C-Notch kit, wont that weaken the frame quite a bit or will I still be able to use it as a true 1 ton? Thanks in advance for any replys!

Nice stuff!! I think with the helper bags and welded c-notch there would be no problems towing. Good luck
