Looks like a great project and the 4 x 4 will be good for the adventures you have planned. Mine is a standard cab so I kept the toolbox as it provides "trunk" space. You have more space for "stuff". The stereo is definitely a worthwhile project. The stock speakers are crap so you might start by replacing those.. If your radio works at all it might surprise you how good it sounds with better speakers.
I admire your energy replacing all those front end parts. I need to learn more about doing that sort of thing. Good luck !
