Hi all I have posted on the forum before about my old truck.
I wanted to post it up here to show our progress.
I have a 1993 ECSB Z71 that I bought in March of 1995.
I took my wife on our honeymoon and brought two of my 3 children home from the hospital when they were born.
I installed a crate 350 at 224000 miles and a GM trans shortly after.
About a year after that in 2003 I changed jobs and was given a company vehicle so the old girl started to sit allot.
Time and sitting had taken a toll on the old truck.
The dash crumbled and the paint started rusting off.
If it were not for my oldest son starting the truck and driving around on my property it would have turned to scrap.
I wanted to fix her back up but I could not justify it with the dash in such bad shape.
We just used her to haul fire wood and took her to our hunting lease some.
Then one day we were at an old junkyard and found an almost perfect dash complete for $85.00!!!
We installed the new dash and the semi restoration was on!
I have a friend with a paint shop and we struck a deal.
