Ok so is it possible for me to tear down a 92 transmission and use some of it's internals to rebuild my 94 transmission.

Some of the internals are shared between the two, but I don't know exactly what it shared.

All that being said, one can assume that a 700R4 from a 92 extended cab will not work in a 94 single cab.

But...are the torque converters interchangeable? Mine hits really hard from 1st to 2nd and when going from park to drive or reverse.
I would look for a transmission parts place near you, "" WIT. Whatever it takes "". Has a store about a mile from me, they sell to the public as well as the local tranny repair shops, factory replacement was like $75, upgrade to kevlar inside was $90, installed on in my 94 extended cab 11 years ago
