i wouldn't replace it yet, you need to trace the wiring and find the problem first to make sure it's not just a power issue to that switch

Ok since its been switched to a th400 ill do that

well got the 4wd to lock in and work. But the gears in the back do not match the front. Locked it in 4low and started moving an the front end wanted to walk all over and was hard to move. Pulled it out and went home. Now need to figure out what gears and in the front and what ones are in the rear and see which ones i want to swap i guess. IFS gear swap im sure isnt cheap

found out the front gears "should be" 373s being its a GT4 rpo code in glove box. so just going to try to find a 14 bolt with a 373 or swap the gears out.
