Well guys, I did a little mod in my rcsb that removes the bigass box thing behind the bench (the thing that holds the tire-change Jack and whatnot), so I'm gonna get an amp and a Sony 10" this week. Just have to build a small box. My question is, what is the best and easiest way to run power to the amp? My buddy used to have two 10"s in his trunk but the amp was drawing straight from the battery, no fuse, just a thick-ass wire. The car REALLY had a hard time starting after awhile of him having this setup, so I don't wanna kill my new battery.

Yup, always run a fuse. Get an inline fuse kit and run it up near the battery.
