Not a hot rod like the Camaro, not a luxury item like the Monte... But if you wanted something cheap and fast you could get an SS model.

Remind you of something newer from GM?.... The Chevelle never died, it just got re-named through the years.

The Chevelle was a midsized car though. If anything it's more akin to the Malibu unfortunately.
The Cobalt SS is more like a Nova or Chevy II.
