Square body headers on C1500 454

Has anyone had any success using square body headers on the GMT400?

"They" say square headers won't fit, but I haven't heard a definitive reason why. As in what the problem actually is. Sub'd for more details.

2WD or 4WD? 4WD is likely a problem based on conflict with engine-mounted differential and torsion bars. But I don't know for sure.

The title say C1500 so, I'll guess it's 2WD. IDK if they'll fit either.

I can provide my own reason. Square headers will not fit the 400 frame shape.
