Good day all,
I bought my grandson a 1993 GMC Sierra 1500, 5.7, std cab, 4L60e, long bed. The truck has not reverse. Driving it home, it loss 1st gear. I attempted to push the driveshaft forward out of the rear diff saddle with a large pry bar-*, it would not budge. I searched google and saw that a stuck driveshaft is not an uncommon event. I removed the tranny tailshaft and sprayed some PB Blaster, still no movement. I ended up dropping the rear axle and it finally came out.
I took the driveshaft and put it on the replacement a tranny and it was still there was no slip action. It feels like the tranny goes all the way in with no slip. Before I get this all buttoned up, does the yoke slip or not? I will look up the driveshaft length details and measure, if for some odd reason it was incorrectly replaced previously.
Thanks for the advise.
