Slave cylinder removal

Any one know how to remove the line to the slave cylinder? I've got to pull the trans to replace the slave beings it's internal and I can't get that little dicky bird clip to release the line.

The slave in mine just has a roll pin holding it in the line, but I'm not sure about the newer style.

It couldn't just be a flare nut, that would be too simple.
