Have you given any thought to using a cable shifter? I like the idea myself

This weekend. Picking up the front driveshaft and got some cutting discs and blades to do so. Just haven't had the time.

And nah, I'm just putting in the OEM floor shifter out of a 92 K1500. Same truck that I pulled the 241 from.

Finally got some time to swap out the Waggy hubs for some selectable ones.

This is what I found... Not good.

Full of water and rust.

Cleaned em all up, pulled the spindle and all and regreased everything.

Just wondering what the point of using with D70 instead of the 14B FF? Advantages? Disadvantages? I am looking at doing SAS and was curious.

Advantage? It was free and bolted right in, including springs lol also used D60 diff cover and I had one of those too.

Disadvantage? Parts aren't as common, sometimes more pricey. But they make a disc kit for these too.

Would a GM rear end (14 FF) work with a Ford HP D60 in the front? As far as gears go, and lug pattern?

Yes they are both 8x6.5 and gears can be matched.
