sas front crossmember diy question

What do most use for this? I usually see like 4x4 square tubing and like .250 wall. Would like 180 or 188 wall thickness work, whatever it is, and would 2x4 work instead? Or even weld spring hangers directly to the stock frame? Then maybe a tube brace across the frame rails above the hangers.

yeah you can do either of those, some peope just weld em to the frame horns and call it a tuesday
