Ya, I was shocked too when I pulled my wheel off and it looked like it exploded, I've never heard of it happening before and I asked my dad and he sad he's never heard it happening before. Anyways whats my part list for this? Other than the obvious: pads, calipers, and rotors.
Brake fluid, that's about it.

Don't forget to repack the wheel bearings.
Add some wheel bearing grease to your list, if you don't have any around.
Your neighbour could probably do the job with his eyes closed!

Hes changing it on a 4x4, he will never see the wheel bearings changing the parts

Well that just goes to show what I know about 4X4's! Lol!
See this? > . < What I know about 'em is on the top of that dot!

But from my point of view, while all that is apart, and from the condition that the rest of the front hub assembly is in, some new grease in those bearings wouldn't hurt.

I did the swap to 2500 rotors, no problem at all...on my c1500 2wd
I never said it was a problem? Just a little more involved since you have to change and pack the bearings, put in new seal on rotors, set the hub, etc.

should have seen me the first time i changed 4x4 rotors!

"WTF, they just sit there?" lol

literally they slide over the studs and the caliper and wheel holds it in place.

Lol! Familar with the concept. Seen that design on other vehicles. Just didn't realize that's how GMT400 4X4's are.
And yea..."WTF? They just sit there?" No wonder the 4X4 rotors are so much cheaper than the 2X's. I saw the price for 'em, & thought that something had to be different or something was wrong with my supplier's prices.
