Really like those rims! Great choice!
Are those Toyo Proxes III?
Didn't realize that you were in Edmonton. What part? I did my 'time' there back in the late '70's. (No! Not prison time! But it did feel like jail though!)
There's a couple of GMT400's around here that are running those original wheels, but I've never seen 'em with the Astro centers. I'll have to remember that next time I'm at the wreckers.
Didn't realize that the lower control arms need to be ground down for 18's on a 4/6. I coulda posted you some pix of the grindage I had to do to get the 15's to work on my truck with the 4/6. Ya got it figured out, though.
Have you considered dropping the rear another inch? That'll level the truck front to rear. Easy to do with a drop shackle & a 1-1.5* wedge to correct the pinion angle.
Truck's looking good!

Thanks! No they are Toyo ST2's, I think ST stands for sport truck. http://www.toyotires.ca/tire/pattern/proxes-st-ii

I'm actually in Sherwood Park, which is basically connected to Edmonton now. I'm growing less fond of dirty Edmonton and the 4 months of summer we have.

I think they are off an astro, my dad picked them up from a swap meet before I even had the truck. Lol, he said they are off a van or something.

It's just because the back of the wheel sticks so far in and my drop spindle doesn't help it either. Cut so much though we are worried it weakened it.

I want to go another inch all the way around, I like a little bit of a rake though, gives it a hot rod look hah, so I for sure wouldn't level it out. I'm considering cutting a quarter coil out of the front. And I could lower the back if I put in the original shackle, I have a 2" drop shackle, and a factory shackle. What's on the truck right now is actually a 3/4" lift shackle because the back went too low and it looked saggy originally.

Here are some more pictures of her with the rims, that I've taken throughout having the new wheel setup. I am so, so satisfied with the color choice and everything! Very nice wheels, and the tires look and perform amazing. Recommend Zach @ Boze Alloys.

Got given some free Hids from a tech at work so I tried them out. I really like the traditional look, on the old American vehicles so this felt kind of weird to do. One ballist ended up being fried and same with a bulb, I think?

Saturday my dad and I will be cutting out half a coil and taking out the lifter shackle and putting in the factory shackle. More low!

Truck's looking great!
Moar lowwwwerrr! Oh yea!

Uhmmm...shouldn't that of been 'Sherweed Park'?
I lived in St. Albert back when people asked, "Why do you live WAAAYYY out there?"
St. Albert still had segregated 'Men's', 'Ladies', & 'Ladies & Escorts' pubs back then!
The Misery Hospital was the Westend of Edmonton's population, along with the Convention West! Rode snow machines at over 100mph through the stubble fields where West Edmonton Mall is now!
Gawd I feel old!

Thank you! I'm excited to go lower. This thing is static, what an inspiration...

Like the square bod style paint job! Not usually a fan of 2-tones, but that's nice!

This is one of my favs! Wheels are a bit dated now, though. And it's bagged, not static.
Not much on the chrome door edge guard, either.
I keep going back to look at it over & over again. Wonder what it'd look like with a cowl hood.

I really like how they kept the factory moulding, do you get the same handling with bags though? Ya the chrome door edge doesn't do much for me either hah. I'm not sure if I'm a cowl hood guy hah.

I've been told that a bagged truck can handle, but I'm yet to be a believer. I'm a static guy. All that plumbing makes me nervous. Check Dagen's thread where one of his bags blew out. He got off lucky with the minimal damage that caused. My luck & that'd happen while going into (& accelerating through! Lol!) a corner marked 50k @ 80k, & trying to hit a century on the way out! The rubber side wouldn't be down for long!

Hah ya isn't that the truth, static cheaper too. I still believe static handling is better aswell look at all the hardcore autcrossers.

What do you mean buy this? I'm cutting my coil to make it an inch lower in the front, and putting in my factory rear shackle so it will make the back sit .75" lower. But I fear I will have a hella rake then, I also have a 2" drop shackle.

So how do I adjust the back without dropping it too little or too much?

The dropped shackles have 2 holes for the leaf spring mount. 1 for a 1" drop, the other = 2".
The 6" drop is done with the stock shackles & hangers. Using the drop shackles with the springs mounted on the first hole can get you that extra inch.
Don't use the front lowered hangers. They drop the truck 2", but they also cause a lot of the headaches associated with the pinion angle.
