Removing Dually rear fenders/extensions

Anyone got any info or done it before? it looked simple, but i don't want to mess this up with some trial and error shennanigans. Gotta ship the dually cross country, and fit it on a regular width car hauler. I'm eventually going to remove the cheap conversion and go back to single wheel, but for now, ive just gotta take a few inches off her waist. Help?

Not the best picture, but you can see the studs in the fender and the holes in the bedside. The fender is laying in the bed.
So are those studs mounted in there? Trying to figure out how I should get a wrench on to the back of them... Or what I'm really afraid of is that they're not supposed to be free spinning and I broke one loose. That's why I stopped and figured I should ask the question before I broke more
