I was driving in 4hi on a snowy dirt road and all the sudden i heard 3 clunks and the rear is just sliding and im driving with the front tires. Then bam it just pulled back in on its own. After getting to work i parked it in the parking ramp in 2wd.
Then after work i noticed it wont roll forward on its own in fact the engine strugles to get it to move forward at all but it would roll freely in reverse.
When i finally put it in drive and tried to go the ass end of the truck like jumped off the ground before it freely rolled forward.
At slow speeds it feels like im pulling a trailer.

Check to see if your parking brake is frozen up/seized and if not pull the diff cover and see if the cross pin is broken. Happens occasionally and is an easy fix. Fix it now because it has the strange capability of grenading the carrier when it pops out
