Got bored/tired of my '98 Z71, sold my '99 Durango and upgraded to an '01 Ram 5.9L CTD. and she loves to work :D

Z71 is still kickin', but I don't plan to do anything more with it other than driving it.

Done quite a bit to it since I got it, quick list:

Edge Juice W/ Attitude CTS
5" MBRP turbo back stainless steel exhaust system
ATS billet steel flex plate
2.5" Hellbent Steel levelling kit
315/75/16 Nitto Mud Grapplers
Switchback LED front corner lights (w/ appropriate flasher to make them not hyperflash)
LED tail lights w/ Switchback LED reverse lights (I have them set to strobe amber if I ever need the added safety of flashing lights)
LED third brake light w/ LED cargo lights
LED license plate lights
LED Fire & Ice tailgate bar
Full interior LED's
Sport headlight conversion w/ 55W 8000k HID's
35W 3000k HID fog lights
Hella 500 offroad lights converted to 55W 8000k HID
99-01 Sport grille (Still have to paint, but that'll be summer)

this project started out as a disk brake upgrade, but sort of snowballed out of control. basically just a major detailing of the underhood as well as replace all gaskets in the engine. also replacing the heater core, harness, and many other components. Next year I'll be putting a big block/4L80e in it.

Here's what it looks like now...

Oooohhh! Deja vu, all over again!
I had a '69 Chevelle like that, last year of school. Same color & everything! Built it in auto shop, out of someone's abandonded project. Loved it. One of the favourites outa all the vehicles I've owned.
It died when a guy (drunk) skidded 267 ft. & crossed 3 lanes in a '66 Buick Wildcat, down a hill, head-on into mine. Drove the engine 18" back into the firewall. Wrinkled the roof & the 1/4 panels he hit it so hard. Cops figured that he was airborne for 20' just before he hit the brakes, @ well over 100mph.

I love posts like that. These 'real' cars aren't as safe as you think...

Don't get me wrong, I love the old RWD cars, but safe they are not. The new stuff does a much better job protecting the occupants (absorbing energy), but the cars usually don't fare well.

I have to admit, I haven't taken it out in quite a while. But the thing is a blast no matter what. We upgraded the suspension and underbody on it, as well as bought different terrain tires and different style rims for it.
