Hey guys any one have a plow on there truck ? Especially a Fisher speedcaster ?
I have one on my truck and everything works fine on it except the lift is slow on it.
I can live with it. But would like to fix it if I could. Did anybody else have this problem? And how Did you fix it ?

Thanks

I work for a shop that sells and installs Fisher, Western, and Blizzard plows. All owned by Douglass Dynamic. Both of my trucks have Western Unimounts.

The Speedcaster is a rear mounted salt spreader. There's no "lift".

What plow do you actually have?

I will have to double check on the control tomorrow I quess.
I was told that's what it was.
Its a older style with belt driven hydraulic pump. The controller on the dash has cables going from it through the firewall and on the valve. It has 3 hoses on it. Going to each of the pistons.

This is what the rest of the set up looks like.
You can get new parts if I would know what to buy.

Wow, thats a classic setup. I would guess the only way to get it to move faster would be to upgrade to an electric pump (meyers E60H is still the fastest I believe)

When I rev up the motor she moves! But I don't think I should have to do that. So I guess my first move is to get a pressure gauge. And check line pressure. And take it from there. Could be as simple as a cloged line.
