Pitman arm help.

Installing the pitman arm to the my new box. Can someone tell me if the arm has to be all the one onto the box? I got it as far as my impact would take it

The shaft is all the way through the arm, and theres plenty of excess after the nut and washer

There will be about half inch between the arm and the box and about 2 threads out of the nut. You will be fine

mine had a little rubber boot that covered that additional space. my ld one did, not sure if my new one did
