No the 71 block would be a 2 piece rear main seal and the 92 is a one piece. They are different flywheels. I don't know what the difference is between the two. Ive never had both sitting next to each other.
So then could i use the 2 piece flywheel on my transmission or do i have to get a special flywheel?

The 2 piece flywheel should work with no problems with your trans. Its the way it attaches to the the engine that is different.

Would i have to get a different starter to match the older flywheel?
