That is what Redmond Washington is like.
Even worse is Dupont Washington.
We call it "Stepford"
It is very clean, a little too clean.
Everyone is nice, but strangely nice.
Like someone is forcing them to smile.
And they grill you about who you are and why they have never seen you before.
All of the buildings are new, Always new they never age.
They roll up the sidewalks at 9 pm.
No bars, no nightlife, nobody on the streets.
Only three roads in or out of the town and they are heavily patrolled.
I was pulled over in Dupont supposedly because I had tinted windows.
Got behind me with the spotlight loudspeaker all of it.
Full on felony stop.
Once he saw me, this ******* **** made up a story about how I didnt look old enough to be driving a Buick.
It was my car, license registration insurance all in order.
He told me he was gonna let me off with a warning and I should consider myself lucky.
And Im White.
To this day I am convinced that this ******** was pissed off because he didnt get to **** with somebody who was black or mexican.
And what you will never see in Dupont?
Somebody who is black or mexican.
Dig a moat.
Dont become what Seattle has become.
