Answer: Did a little digging an found answer to my own questions I'll post the link for any of you that have the same question.

http://www.etrailer.com/faq-about-engine-transmission-coolers.aspx

I will be doing some towing about 6000lbs (race buggy) this year. I want to add an external trans cooler to my in radiator trans cooler. I've heard that you should run it through the radiator first then to the external cooler, is this correct?

Next I already have the factory external oil cooler and when I bought a new radiator it came with provisions for a in radiator oil cooler. Currently I'm just running the external cooler but would it be a good idea to run both? And again which should it run through first?

If you have done this please post some pictures of your set up!

Thanks

Here's the write up I did on upgrading the factory external trans cooler, for those with the factory tow package:

http://www.gmt400.com/forum/showthread.php?18104-How-to-factory-auxiliary-trans-cooler-upgrade

The write up may not have anything really useful for you since you don't have the factory external cooler, but I will say that the B&M cooler is top notch, actually made by the same company that makes the OEM external coolers for the GMT400's. I would highly recommend the unit I used.

Thanks. I actually already read your article before posting up. I am looking at getting a Long Manufacturing stacked plate cooler probably a 8.5"x11"x1.5" rated at 22000 BTUs I think.
