Well, I'm trying to get my fans installed today but I can't get the plug out to install the thermostat switch. However I have found two other places that already have what looks like other fan switches in them, one is in the driver side head and the other is on just under the thremostat housing. Can I tap into one of these wires or should I just wire them to a toggle switch for the time being?

On the head.

To get the plug in the head out you'll need a 5/16" square drive adapter. I had to special order one from NAPA, but I've heard that Harbor Freight has a kit with one in it too. I'd try to get the plug out and install it properly before trying to tap into the stock wiring

That was the plan, but I didn't have the adapter like I thought I did.
