Pretty much just break loose the jam nut and then you can loosen or tighten the center adjuster( it's a allen I believe) small adjustments go a long ways! I would mark a stripe across the adjuster and box so you know where it was and then just break loose the jam nut and back out the adjuster a 1/8 of a turn and re tighten the jam nut and test drive and repeat untill your happy with the results. If it's too tight the steering will feel like it's binding( I've made that mistake) but I bet you can get it to your liking.
