dont cut your exhaust back to close to the engine, exaust manifolds, headers, etc. the back pressure will pull cool air into the engine, hit a valve, and burn it up

ya i knew that just didnt know what you was talking about lol. and a 97 is a vortec and has 4 cats not one so straight pipes sound alot better.

I think with no cats, a flowmaster 10 series 1 chamber race muffler will be louder than a glasspack....and sound better...

everybody has flowmaster on 350s. i didnt wanna hop on that banwagon, to gay for me imo. so i threw on a set of pacesetter headers and true duals into cherry bombs then dumped.
