Long tubes on 4x4

I have a 99 tahoe with a 5.7/4L60e and 4wd are there any long tube headers that will guranteed fit or should i just go with shorty headers?

Type “long tube header 4x4” into the search function there are a bunch of threads about long tubes that directly fit these trucks. Dont let people tell you they don’t fit. The headers that fit the TBI trucks work with a Vortec you just may have to do a EGR delete.

how hard would it be to make the egr work with tbi headers?

I think you can just weld in a port for the EGR. Have a look at some EGR headers to see

If you run TBI long tubes on a vortec you'll need to add an 02 bung.

I've heard that they often don't bolt up to the stock pipes either, that they hang lower so you might have more work to do than you expect.

Long tubes never bolt up to the restrictive stock Y pipe. Any v8 needs long tube headers and dual 2.5” exhaust

Or block off plate, which is what I did.
