If you have a big enough tree with big enough branches you can use a tree branch with a come along or winch with straps ran through the door openings. Just make sure you use enough padding between the straps and cab and dont leave it hanging in the air for very long.i'm doing a cab swap on my truck and i was wondering whats the next best way to swap cab with out a 2 post hoist? much help would be appreciated
If you do a search on YouTube there are a few designs you can go from based on that. I've see one that was mounted to the top of a hoist arm and lifted on the top of the door jambs, the other where they mounted an eye-bolt where they guessed the center of gravity would be in the floor of the cab. Either way you're going to want a minimum of 2 people for the job.Pretty sure I saw a post where a member (maybe @Justin S?) used an engine hoist to lift a cab...
