Trust me. You’re doing more building than at least 95% of vehicle owners. Looks great!! Best thing about buying most vehicles in California is they haven’t been messed with a lot. Have to pass smog and all that. I’ve been debating on a lift kit for the 99 Burb I just picked up. Cant wait to see how this one sits once it’s done.

Cleaned the factory throttle body using throttle body cleaner and steel wool #0. I'm relatively happy with how it turned out. Removing the blade helps immensely. After cleaning it, I installed a new TPS and IAC valve.

Engine is officially done, less reinstalling the wiring harness. Next step is to clean the transmission and possibly paint it.

I just ordered the Tuff Stuff booster from Summit today.
I have not previously heard of that brand. I chose Cardone since they used to remanufacture the units sold under the AC Delco name. Make sure you purchase a replacement retainer for the push rod/brake light switch. The GM part number is 15705042. With a little patience, it is most easily installed using an 11mm socket. Good luck.
