If your tips are chrome you'll need to scuff them before you spray. But yes, all my exhaust is done with VHT high heat black and it holds up ok.

Scuff with a scotch pad or some 100+ sand paper. That's what I did to my girls exhaust. And I used rustoleum BBQ black and it is still fine to this day 2 years later

And it looks way better black. Are you going to color match the bow tie?

I should...good idea. But ya I agree it looks so much better black!
