yea bothered me. at that mieage if its stock id do bearings and gaskets regardless which on an ls motor adds up quick with having to get machined heads and all that too.

thats why i said to get them looked at or freshened up, even though the ls motors seem to be lasting longer than what came in our trucks

I would do a compression test and drop the pan on it for inspection. If both of those look good I would run it. I used to work on LS motors all the time when I was a GM mechanic and the bottom ends hold up very well. I have had many of them apart with 250k and the cylinder walls still look new, cross hatching and all. Most issues we saw were due to bad lifters or headgasket.
