indexing spark plugs

Has anyone indexed their spark plugs? Did it make a difference? saw it on a tv show. Would like to know more about it

Power wise im gonna say no, not on a stock motor anyways, maybe if it was a high compression race engine. You may notice it running a little smoother though.

I don't remember what motor the show had. I would assume a high performance.
