How to route exhaust with long tubes on 4wd

Cool, and one more thing. If I were to keep my shorty headers for now (provided they can be removed from the stock y-pipe after all these years) do you think the 2nd jegs pipe that's for the newer truck would work? I just really like the design of it and the merge it has. I'll check out the underside of my dad's gmt800 today to see how visually different the y-pipes are and try to post some pics. I know everyone seems to get their y-pipes custom made but wouldn't it be nice to know if there was a simpler, better flowing way to do it?
